I believe in Bondi

I love Bondi Beach and its wonderful community. At its best, it has no equal on the planet as a place to live. The amazing positive spirit and vitality here has provided the seeds for Bondi Innovation to flourish.

The terrible tragedy of last night changes not just Bondi, but the world. It is the top story in news outlets around the world because it accentuates division and hate everywhere. But the impact here on the ground is very real.

I and my daughters had to run when the shooting began. I know many of you have been impacted far more, losing loved ones, being in the firing line, and directly experiencing the horror. All of us have been traumatised.

The Jewish community is a vital part of our region, and strongly represented in Bondi Innovation. It is essential for us to shape a society where the Jewish community - and everyone - feels safe and respected.

This is going to take some processing. We need to acknowledge the horror and the impact.

Somehow, we will also need to move forward to rebuild a cohesive community and a sense - and reality - of safety for all.

At Bondi Innovation we believe in the building of the new. We will do all we can to support the collective becoming and finding new ways of relating we will need on the other side of this tragedy.

I believe incredibly deeply in Bondi and the local community. Let us strive to forge a positive path forward together in the wake of this atrocity.
