Beach Walk & Talk 24 May

We live amid natural beauty so let’s connect while we’re outside! Join a wonderful group for a walk to Tamarama and back while talking startups, life, and everything!

There are already 14 registered, it will be a great group. Those who want can get a bite or drink together after.

Launch of Bondi Pitch Club 5 June

Are you working on a startup and need to practice pitching? Or you simply hae an idea and want to test the waters? Whether it's a full-time business idea or a side gig, here's your opportunity to get some casual feedback from a friendly crowd, train to talk about it, and get the word out!

Join us every 1st Wednesday of the month at Bistro Chouchou and pitch your idea in 2 minutes in front of our friendly patrons and startup enthusiasts! Kickoff event on Wednesday 5 June.

What: 90s to 2min pitches from founders and people with ideas, along with a few drinks and valuable insights from the startup community.

Next Social Networking Drinks - 19 June

Our Social Networking Relaunch last week was fabulous, with 24 inspiring people attending. The highlight was the 30 second intros at 7pm, which sparked many new worthwhile connections. Featuring Mariia’s 30th birthday!!

REGISTRATIONS ESSENTIAL! Tickets include your first drink and light snacks. Free for Premium members, $10 for others. There will be a great crew coming, hope to see you there!

Interest groups: Medtech, Wellbeing, eCommerce, and more…

So we can best learn from each other we will be establishing interest groups in specific areas. For these we need someone to take the lead in organising meetups. We can support by inviting everyone in our community and promoting, potentially organising spaces, and providing an online space to communicate. You become central to the local innovation community in those spaces.

Chris Zheng will be leading the Medtech group. Please message him if interested. Message Ross Dawson if you’re interested in leading other interest groups. These could be Fitness, Wellbeing, eCommerce, Crypto/Blockchain, AI, Digital marketing, or anything else where you want to get together with people working on similar challenges and opportunities!

Enter Australian Technologies Competition

Last chance! The Australian Technologies Competition is back for its 14th year and is looking for Australia’s best technology companies. We will assess, mentor, profile, and promote innovative and emerging technologies that have the greatest global potential.

With finalists having the chance to be recognised by their peers at a closing awards ceremony.

To enter, you must:

• be an Australian-based SME company with less than 100 employees

• own or have the commercial rights to the intellectual property for the key technology in an eligible industry sector

• have evident traction and an MVP established here in Australia

Entries are open now and close on 24 May.
